In the Fleet Card program, the customer will receive a Fleet Card for every vehicle he has enrolled for. This Fleet Card stores the card no., membership number, vehicle information and PIN (Personal Identification Number). The Fleet Card is also an electronic purse, which enables the customer to preload cash into it by paying in a Fleet Card outlet. At the time of filling, the customer has to opt for the Credit. However, the customer can also pay at any SF branch the advance money & use it against his credit pouch - either to save on his interest or to avoid payment at an outlet.
Target Audience:
Any fleet owner / operator / corporate / taxi operator is eligible to apply for Fleet Card. Existing Fleet Card customers can also apply for the new Fleet Card.
CashlessTransaction:
Enjoy the freedom of paying for your Fuel, Lubricants, with your Fleet Card, instead of cash. This mode of payment does away with the risk of highway thefts and also facilitates collection, maintenance and reconciliation of bills.
Blocking/UnblockingFacility:
For each of your new 'Fleet Card', PIN (Personal Identification Number) is provided for security reasons. The default PIN would be set to '0000' and hence when the customer uses the card for the first time, it would prompt for changing the PIN. The customer has to change the PIN compulsorily. If the customer keys in a wrong PIN 3 times during any transaction, the card will be blocked. To unblock the PIN, the customer has to contact the Helpline of the respective oil companies.
Daily Limit Setting in the Card:
This is a limit, which will reset at 12:00 AM (00:00 hrs) every night. The customer cannot draw more than this limit on any given day. Much care needs to be taken while setting this limit. This limit can be different for each card and cannot be changed as of now on the same card. However, if this has to be changed the customer will have to apply for a replacement card.
Credit Pouch:
The card comes with Credit pouche. SF will handle / service only cards with credit facility. Cards with the prepaid facility (customers wanting to use it only for a prepaid facility) will be directly dealt with by the oil companies. By default both pouches would be enabled for SF customers. At the designated retail outlet, the driver has to tell the outlet staff the pouch he intends to use for the filling. In case he opts for the credit pouch, interest is chargeable on the sale (if there is no advance lying to the credit of his account with SF). The transaction history of the credit pouch will be sent by SF to all its customers. The statement of transactions on the cash pouch will directly sent by the oil companies.
CardUsage:
The card does not have any in-built credit limit. The cards will be activated based on the overall credit limit set by SF to our customers. The due amount can be paid at any branch of SF at regular intervals.
Additional/ReplacementCard:
Customer can have one card per oil company for the same vehicle which can also have different daily limits. For getting additional / replacement card branch will have to ensure that relevant documentation is completed. The processing time is about 14 days for the additional / replacement card.
